And there's the old one of put a kilo of lead on a string. Wind the string up on about 15" of broom shank and then sit there, ideally on one of those big exercise balls.
Hold the broom shank out in front of you, arms straight. Lower the weight down to the ground by alternately gripping with either hand and keeping control as it lowers. When it gets to the floor, still keeping your arms straight, wind it back up again.
Repeat.....
