Fed up with the Ł40.00 a pop cost of OTK pads I contacted EBC and they came up with the FA540S for us to test when we asked them to emulate the OTK compound. They were originally supplied to us 'white boxed' and then they went on general sale for karting once tested. The 'S' is the significant letter as you can get 540's in motorcycle shops but they are not the same. We all used the 540S in our Tony derivitives and found them to be kinder to the disc because they are softer.
