Having read the latest MSA newsletter, it appears a simple application of part of the CIK regs has resulted in a suitable result.

Minimum straight length of the bumper bars (but no max length) and a clear 27mm zone behind the nose cone.

Should see the spirit of the rules easily achieved.

I'll leave others to debate whether specific manufactures are liable to supply FOC bars if they feel they've been mislead....
