I would expect the child to be up to weight if he/she were presented to me for testing. It's easy to get the Cadet lap time if the lad is running at Bambino weight!

Just remember the purpose of the ARKS test: It's not just a hurdle that has to be jumped, it's to check that your son is ready to take on the rigours of MSA kart racing. If he can't race at a speed that is safe for himself and others, then he needs more practice until his speed comes up. It's really important he doesn't jump in too soon, get discouraged and leave the sport. We need everyone we can get!

As for the technical side, as long as it's safe I doubt they'll worry about the fiddly bits.
