Why don't you visit some of the circuits in the area.
Stretton Karting nr. Leicester
Elk Karting - Newark (Arrive and Drive I think)
Lincs Kart Racing Club - Fulbeck - Owner driver MSA and Non-MSA (includes gearbox). The club has been running more than 50 years.
Trent Valley Kart Club (PFi) next door to LKRC - Owner driver and corporate.
They all have websites that will help you.
