I think you hit it in one there d-i-y71!

I think the basic aim of karting i.e. racing, has been lost in all the hype and razzmatazz and resulted in the loss of a great deal of grass roots karters.

F100 has saved the 'old school' racing but the club racer has been scrutineered out of the sport.

I've seen a great many good lads disappear from karting quite quickly for no other reason than over regulation and just plain unnecessary costs.

The Buckmore O plate entry of 31 must say quite a lot.

Ellough Park, Llandow and now Hoddesdon Kart Club are now defunct MSA clubs and run IKR.

The promise that they intended to double the number of license holders seems to have been a damp squib as usual so one must presume things can only be getting worse.

With the prospect of a championship final being decided on whether or not you get brake tested in the chicken run and your Floppo Droppo bumper gets dislodged, doesn't make it look exactly attractive after having spent a shed load of money during the year.
