I think we agree again in principle.

Competitors might want to ask whether their club was represented in 2015 and intends to attend this time.

There were people ready and willing to represent the views of the members of any club that would find it difficult to attend in person in 2015, but no club took up the option.

You would have imagined that the best clubs would have canvassed the views of their members in advance so that they can vote accordingly, so remote voting should be fine. If there is an issue of such importance that needs to be debated, then it should be debated in advance!
