The team mechanic checked another karts tyre pressures while they were purposefully distracted. After discussing with team manager, mechanic took kart off the grid to put air in. This happened on S1 grid waiting to go out for qualifying. Apparently they then qualified much bettter than they had been all weekend and in practice. The mechanic got Ł150 fine. Just wondering how the stewards get to that figure?
