My son and I have been towing a trailer to race weekends with an Estate car for the last two years and sleeping in the awning. It was more comfortable than it sounds! However, I wanted to get something better. We decided to carry on with the trailer and buy a VW camper because the camper is a vehicle I'd feel comfortable driving around in at other times and the resale value should hold up well. The van tows really well and I've managed to get everything into a 6x4 box trailer so I can still manoeuvre it in the paddock.
