I used vinyl stickers on my helmet which lasted for well over 10 years! Cheap and looked pretty good, even if my art skills aren't that great. I'm getting my new helmet sprayed with a very simple design as the complicated designs look a mess to me.

Never understand these people that say don't paint your helmet, spend it on something else instead. Sure, if it's between a new set of tyres and a paint job then by all means, spend it on the tyres. But if you've already got the tyres, got all the equipment and are only racing for the enjoyment, paint away if it makes you feel good!
