I think the ABKC can advise the MSA but not `instruct' them.
The MSA could block a new class being run as part of the Official British Championships even if that class was not treated as a championship (no seeded numbers issued or points tallied to give a season table). Similarly the ABKc might be able to say that they would not award the class championships to S1 if they ran a new class (not really clear about this).
All speculation really as probably only the MSA and S1 know the whole story. Was there some talk about the LGM series no longer being able to run as part of normal club meetings?
