I can't stand smartphones, it's like trying to use the internet looking through a letterbox and one hand tied behind your back.

I think smartphones could be the problem. They are harder to use so more cumbersome and tiring, this then leads to less people making an effort and actually contributing to discussion. The net result is lots of people using smartphones and consuming information / products but not giving as much back in return. It's all pictures, clicks and likes. PC's are so much easier.

I've tried switching off from facebook and I've found loads of time to come on places like this, so facebook in general consumes a lot of time leaving less time to go to other sites.

Strangely I feel more happier the less I use facebook. I've got a few things for sale so I have to log in once or twice per day to check the messages but as soon as I've checked then I come straight back out.
