Ask 10 people on here and you will get a different opinion every time.

If you buy new as it comes from JAG you get an extended warranty and the new engines seem to be really good and you wont be far off the pace if at all.

You can buy new from an engine builder and get it fiched, but you will pay the extra and possibly not gain much

If you buy 2nd hand, you pay your money and take your chances. You can test the motor but there is no way of knowing how long it will last. You can ask JAG for the last rebuild history to give you an idea of the age of the conrod etc.
