You may have more luck posting a question on UK Karting on facebook as not many seem to use this site.
I don't know the answer to your question but petrol will be on sale for many years to come so no reason why karting should not continue.
At some point in the future as people move to electric vehicles then fuel stations may start to close as there will not be enough demand but no doubt some will stay but maybe we will need to travel further to get fuel.
