'sparks flying and bending stubs and kingpins in the process'

I hardly think thats true. If a driver is damaging his kart in the rocess of kerbing, then he is only doing himself damage. If he bends a stub whilst doing it he is ultimately going to be re overtaken at the next corner!
Learning a track is an art, and that includes learning which kerbs you CAN and CANNOT use. Using TOO much kerb will LOSE you time and will damage your kart whilst using them correctly will NOT damage your kart and WILL gain you time. It is also a joy to use them in some occasions e.g Lydd where the kerbs are relatively flat.

The rules should be updated, banning people from using kerbs will just open up another can of worms e.g people overtaking may accidently use a kerb and then get penalised for it - resulting in less overtaking.

Whats the guessing that all you people complaining about people putting two wheels on a kerb are the saem complaining that their isn't enough overtaking in Motorsport anymore?
