Ashamedly yes. I cracked the external surface of the water jacket on my Snr MAX a few years ago. It was split on both sides through lack of antifreeze or me making the effort to drain it. (Tut Tut)

I was gutted as it was my No1 engine.

However, I had it TIG welded and then rebuilt onto the engine again by Ogden. All legal and works fine.

Ask your engine builder for advice.
