As has been said many, many times before. Before you buy anything, go along to your local circuit and talk to drivers / mechanics / financiers to find out how easy each type of kart is to maintain, how much running costs are, availability of spares, grid sizes etc. etc.
The choice of kart has to be yours and you should not rely upon someone elses say so.
