Are your front wheels the 3 hole variety ( like the rears ) or are they a single larger hole with 17mm bearings in .
If 3 hole then yes they are really rears but are used as fronts with hubs ...
If larger hole type then there are different offsets even in a manuefacturers type like Jet which offer centre bearing , offset and super offset .
My advice would be find which suit you best , wet and dry then duplicate the rims sets and that way you dont have to worry about the different offsets front and rear . Buy secondhand and sell the ones you dont need and it will keep the costs down ( hopefully ) .
TIP super offset fronts help in the wet to give you the widest track possible and most people use standard offset in the dry if using JET rims . Hope this helps ...
