Is it possible that the lad's kart was set up absolutely perfectly and that the engine was running really sweetly because someone knew what they were doing? There are drivers and mechanics who can get unbelievable performance out of the kart, engine and driver combination. It can appear as though they have a special engine but in fact have talent. I have seen a few special combinations and if you did not know, you would be inclined to think that something may be amiss. It is not. Enjoy your level of karting and try and progress but do not get upset if you never find the Holy Grail.
