Now speeding into my mid-50s, I only started karting a few years ago. And I only just started racing again after decades away due to family commitments etc. You might argue that I’m too slow, but I assure you that there’s plenty of fun to be had even at the back of the grid.
So too old at 38? No way!

Alan: I love gearbox karts, too: that’s why I had one. But I found that it just didn’t stack up against Aixro Wankel. The latter is in a quality league so far above anything else; it’s almost ludicrous. I therefore urge you to try before you buy one or the other. At our age, we have no time to waste and deserve the best!
