"I believe my son is a very talented driver (his results speak for themselves) but I do not expect him to go any further because of finacial reasons."

There is a question I have to ask, and that is why you don't consider the NKRA in future rather than S1. ( I understand that at the moment the NKRA offers Minimax and not Junior rotax).

One of the regular responses seems to be that 'the grids aren't big enough' but that is somewhat of a chicken and egg problem, the more people who race in the championships the bigger and better the grids will be. The same applies to the quality of the drivers.

It's just that at the moment, when S1 is dominated by people accused of cheating and you see small chance of further advance for your son because of budget, it would seem sensible to consider a cheaper and less cheatworthy environment.

There is something clearly at odds with drivers in the NKRA though, because both cadets and senior rotax produced abysmal grids for the Grande Finals. Yet the format of the NKRA (regional rounds and a national Grande Final) is regularly put forward on here as a proper solution for those looking for cheaper racing rather than competing against the wallets of S1.
