Seems there are too different issues - first there is the `shelf life' of helmets just as thetre is with your race suit. The trouble is that it seems harder to tell with helmets when their `end of life' date is near. I was told that if it had a blue sticker on the outside then it would not be legal in 2010 but some posts seem to suggest it referes to something else.
The second issue is the new CMR helmets and the last I heard from the MSA was that these woyld be advisory for cadets from 01.01.10 and compulsory from 01.01.11. the reason for the delay is to try and ensure there is sufficient competition in the market.
