Roadrat seems to follow a similar procedure to me, of balancing the front of the kart in the middle and checking the weight of each rear wheel. This is because "corner weighting" is a motor racing procedure for vehicles with suspension, and is not entirely applicable to karts. It is far more important to ensure that a karts wheel heights are the same than the weights. Simply measuring the weights on all 4 wheels doesn't reveal whether the result is because the weight distribution is correct or the wheel heights are wrong.
