Go down to a place like Wickes and ask for lead used for flashing (building purposes only). It comes in rolls. Cut pieces to the desired length / weight and then bash it with a lump hammer into the desired shape. Wrap in gaffer tape, drill a couple of holes, fit to kart. Much, much cheaper than buying pre-moulded stuff and any excess you can easily sell on.
