I think you miss understand me. I've never had a helmet painted and probably never would, (unless a sponsor wanted to pay for it).

What I mean't was that it's serious double standards when a badly damaged helmet can be repaired and pass scrutinering yet a brand new helmet will fail just because the sticker on it went over some bureacratic use by date.
