During a race today for 10 to 13 year old, on slicks in the wet (no wets allowed), the winner of the semi-final was so much faster than the rest of the field that tyre treatment was suspected (not unusual).

The French solution to this was to have everybody remove their tyres and then have them redistributed by lottery. Great, except they kept the suspect competitors tyres in the draw and the person who received them cleared off for an easy victory.
