You are going to get 100 relpies to this question all saying the same thing: -
DO NOT BUY A KART - DO NOT BUY ANYTHING TO DO WITH KARTING.
The fist step is go to the kart track you plan to race at and chat to prople there, after that you will know so much more about karting you will be able to plan ahead.
