I am looking for a pair of electric RC cars for my boys for Xmas, you see loads on Ebay but what do you get for your money? What's the difference between one at Ł50 and one at Ł80?
I am looking to spend about Ł80 on each one but what do I look for? A brushless motor? Ball races? Aluminium capped shocks? Oil filled shocks? 1800mAh/3000mAh batteries? Digital proportional controllers? Don't mean a lot to me!
I hasten to add, the boys will be racing against each other but no-one else, these are just for fun but I want them to be robust enough to last and quick enough to keep their interest (during the winter only of course...).
I think we have identified they will need buggy style cars (as they will be on and off-road) so if anyone could recommend any particular make/model, it would be appreciated.

P.S. we will not be looking at petrol/nitro cars as they would be too much hassle
