It's not coincidence that karting in France is having the same problem with the FFSA, who seem to take all the money from karting and give it to rallying. Actually from my point of few, I would say it is several times worse, we have our own issues with non-homolagated rear CIK 'STYLE' rear bumpers that are causing huge accidents even on the formation laps. Not to mention Sodi kart bringing out a new chassis every year for the last 4, completely ignoring the 3 year homolagation period.

There are similar murmurings about a drivers asscociation here, but support always seems to fizzle away when anyone is asked to step forward.

One interesting point I heard, not sure of the exact facts, was that karting in Australia had similar problems and as a result ultimately ended up breaking away and forming its own association.
