Unfortunately you can't add to the MyChron3. The MyChron3 Plus and Gold had the ability to record speed from the attached E-Box.

This is one advantage of the Mychron 4, you can add extra modules onto it. But you can't just buy a speed sensor, you would have to plug it into an E-Box or alternatively buy the GPS unit.
