It will be interesting to see what George Robinson recommends but in the short term it looks as if we could go the other way if the Super Cadet class runs next year, adding to the list of classes.
One obvious problem is that a restriction on classes will make some equipment redundant - on your list the WTP cadet class goes. Although there is the issue with WTP engines it looks as if the class may continue with another engine. All Minimax engines also either become scrap metal or it drives people away from MSA tracks.
In cadets, Comer is the dominant force mainly because it is the engine for the British Championship and all other cadets have to be restricted to make them slower. This is not an issue for national championships where Honda and WTP run as individual classes but it does keep comer dominant at club level.
I know a few people who are doing TKM this year for the first time but have decided not to compete in S1 purely because of the rule changes on tyres, chassis plus the choice of engines. They decided to do just club racing for 2010 to allow time to see what works. The saving by skipping S1 for this year could pay for a change of equipment as things become clearer.
