Hi Alan have you ever tried ultrasonic cleaning any plugs? i have just by chance and the results were amazing, they were hard to tell from new! The bonus is they even worked without problem after, give it a go.
p.s. i am no longer at Dunks so I may get the chance to come and visit you all at Rye this season to give Dave R a chance for revenge!!!
