yer its exctremly useful for overtaking.

Its a all about balancing the grip between turning and braking. and the more you turn into the corner the less braking you can use.

It becomes second nature. Just takes practise. best thing to look at is the circle of grip. it will explain how you only have 100% of grip avalable so trail braking will use.

100% braking 0% side grip
75% braking 25% side grip
50% braking 50% side grip
25% braking 75% side grip
100% side grip
75% side grip 25% acceleration
50% side grip 50% acceleration
