Have been through cracked ribs and let them heal or it will just get worse and you will feel them for say 6 months as well after it. Tillet seats are the best I feel and make sure it is not loose or that will cause more issues. The rib protectors, the only ones that work well have protectors in them (plastic strips or similar)not just padding like some. MIR ones had strips in or the tillet ones to protect the body/ribs. Alot are just padding and do not really protect and spread the load.
