The rules governing karting are laid out in the MSA Competitors and Officials Yearbook ("blue book") and Kart Race Yearbook("yellow book").

Both are supplied with your competition licence so if you race MSA you will be able to have hours of fun reading.

The policing of the rules is also explained in these books.
