The chassis that went best was a 2 year old Sodi, but it wasn't a straight swap, we had to tune the rest of the set-up to match. On a 6 month old Alpha and a 3 year old MG we could find no difference, whatever we did. But in any wind they were all slower. Others had similar results and thus only those with a Sodi wanted to run them, when given a choice, because any other chassis would only go slower.
However we are talking right at the sharp end of National competition where a dozen drivers were looking for any advantage, however small. With the best will in the world I don't think the average club driver would ever notice the difference. (See other thread on back bars).
