What would that entail?
Plenty of preparation and lots of masking

Where do you buy an air brush?
Any hobby store or good old Ebay

Where do you buy the paint?
Look in your yellow pages or go on line and search for a local car paint supplier

I understand the paint has to be special as a normal celelose would damage the helmet?
Nope. If the helmet cannot take cellulose, it should not be painted - you don't paint plastic helmets but you can paint fibreglass and other composites. I painted both our helmets in good 'ol cellulose - in fact, I have just redone one in black (but like a tw*t, I got a couple of runs in the lacquer, teach me to be more patient...))
