Know what you mean Simon,

My lad uses not too expensive plastic heel-stops secured with fittings to the floor pan.

As previously suggested, best fitted with your driver sitting in full racing clothing, then adjusted after track tesing. A driver should be able to "feel" the kart, not just "sat in" and steering it.

First considerations being driver comfort and control, the choice of type and style must be a secondary factor.
