"Limit the space/square footage a single kart can occupy in the pits."
How does this reduce the cost of karting?
The only time I have seen it matter was when limited space (eg 3 Sisters) is a problem at a meeting with more karts than normal.
I agree it is annoying to see a big tent with one kart in it, a support van and an accommodation motor home as well as a couple of personal vehicles occupying several spaces, while you have to walk a lot further (hundreds of yards at, say, Clay but at the same time there may not be enough local drivers to arrive with the kart on the roof of the car, ie not staying overnight.
Every track I go to is more than 100 miles, should I not go then or must I book a local hotel?
