It's certainly cracking in some very unusual places. I'd say they either let the apprentice do the welding, or it's made from a cheap grade of steel that goes brittle when electrically welded. If it were mine, and I couldn't get a replacement out of them, I might persevere by bronze welding additional strengthening tubes, and also ensure that I got the chassis near the cracks hot enough to allow any jig stress to come out. But if I could afford to, I think I'd bin it, and try to get another chassis off ebay to transfer the parts onto.
