Yes you can get a pattern axle to fit, just ensure that you get the key location correct as well, the disk peg positions can vary causing insufficent key in the carrier.
I stock axles to fit Birel as do Dartford (kartstore.co.uk) and they are around Ł60 plus vat.
If you call be ready with the crucial measurements to save time and dissapointment when you get 3/4 the way through fitting your new sxle only to find that it's not the right one. They also come in grades soft, mediun & hard.
