But this issue, if there is one, is buried, seems almost Taboo in karting. From my perspective it seems as soon as a few 'larger' kids parents start complaining that they are a few KG over, up go weight limits, no consideration is given to the effect this has on the 'smaller' kids forced to carry all the extra lead.

Perhaps there are equations for this somewhere, if so I would be interested to know what they are.
