Mel I've been involved very heavily with Ebay and Paypal for the last couple of years and as such know the place and rules like the back of my hand.

Speaking as a business seller I can assure you that the buyer has got you by the balls once you make a sale. Not only are the buyers covered by the distance selling regulations which is the legal law of the land they are also covered by Ebay and Paypal with a no quibble money back guarantee if you don't like what you have bought. If the seller doesn't refund you the money then Paypal or Ebay will refund you the money and they then chase the seller for the money. This is all fact.

My advice Mel is to only deal with business sellers and deal with sellers who have feedback in the 1,000's. These sellers will be well clued up on the law of the land and will not want to risk their account being blocked by Ebay over a legitimate item return claim. As soon as you get a high number of disputes then Ebay limits your account and as such you lose money through the lack of sales.

In short a serious business seller will not want to risk a Paypal or Ebay dispute and would rather sort the problem before it escalates into a dispute.

As stated earlier though, personal sellers are a different ball game and are more likely to kick up a fuss about returning an item.

And I think if your starting to believe in tooth fairies then I'll have some of that what your on. Always had a bit of a crush on that Tinkerbell ; )
