The argument is, and for example your engine is down on power. After further inspection you need to fit a new piston ring.

* TKM Unwired engine - you phone up dartford karting or Alan Turney at TKM and they put a ring in the post. The next evening you fit the ring yourself. Cost of repair about £40 - £60

* FKGP Unwired engine - similar to above. Cost of repair about £40 - £60

* Rotax wired engine - You realise after futher inspection your engine is wired and you cant get inside your engine. You ring engine builder and they dream up the fee of £100 an hour plus parts to look at the engine. In most cases you courier your engine up to be looked at. Cost of repair about £150 - £200.

How can the Rotax solution be far, and you have to go to a Rotax UK sealing agent if you wish to race in the UK. And no UK sealing agents cannot purchase there parts from abroad??

With TKM or FKGP you can send your engine to China for repair if you like and you can still race your engine in the UK.
