Obviously virtually any accident, seen from two different angles can be interpreted differently. But it wasn't so much the penalty, but the concept that the driver then in front had to leave enough room 'just in case' rather than the driver behind backing out of the situation.

I should add, that I had warned my lad at the start of the weekend that this particular driver would take him out rather than be beaten (they have history). So I was more p155ed that he had put himself in a vulnerable position.
