I managed to insure ours through the Nationwide on our house insurance HOWEVER, they were competing for my business in terms of a mortgage and house insurance at the time - whether that swung things or not, I don't know.
The proviso is though that they are insured up to a max of £2000 each as they are insured as a 'single item of value' or something like that.
They did call the underwriters while I was on the phone to confirm what type of kart(s) we had and then confirmed they were insured.
