250's without a question.

Downforce

All round brakes with balance

gear change

IMO gearbox is by far the better opption if you want to go car racing BY FAR

I have race Direct drive, 250's, ff1600 f2000 etc and a 250 gearbox is by far the best beast

A rotax pops along at a fair rate and are a cracking kart, but get out of a 250 then into rotax and it feels like a hire kart, ie no power and no brakes

I think it was Nelson P who said he thought he could put a 250 kart on pole around monaco.
