I have been asked for feedback as a NOVICE starting in karting.

Whilst myself not having raced anything MSA for 4 years have had to start again as my licence would not be re-newed as I had let it lapse (MSA Pack/ARKS test,medicals ,first 5 meetings, gear etc},I have my own interesting feedback as to how NOVICES are treated currently in karting.
Having helped many people get going in Motorsport and now celebrating my 50th year in it in some form,I am well aware of how it is out there,including club,officials and other drivers attitudes to NOVICES.

There are concerns in karting and motorsport in general {obviously in current ŁŁŁŁ climate } about the number of licences both novice and re-newals taken up this year,(perhaps a few redundancies at HQ ?) but fact is there are a lot fewer MSA Novices in 2011 and novices are vanishing after a few meetings why ???

If you are a novice in 2011 or before/thought about it and did not go any further,/or are considering karting for 2012 please mail me with your observations,concerns or general NOVICE only feedback etc.
It will get to the right person,trust me, and tell it as it is or has been (no names will be passed about on here,data protection applies to surveys) but genuine repliers can be verified so no #ick heads please.

The sport needs novices and new blood to survive and take the sport forward.
