Dependadnt on chassis age ie how many race meets and how many spares. But even then i wouldn't look to pay more that 800-900 as an absolute maximum, even if it had a bucket load of spares, especially if its done 6 or meetings already!

I guess the biggest issue isn't the price, its his awful reaction to you, just because you aren't interested! Agreed, people like him ruin karting.
