TYhe comer, honda and wtp cadet engines are not all equal. the MSA have made the comer the official british championship engine and all other cadets are supposed to be made slightly slower either with a weight factor or some form of restrictor (as with WTP and easykart).
On that basis the comer cadets should have an advantage and a strict libra cadet would not be fair.
Most clubs therefore run mixed grids (unless there enough of each class to split them) but award trophies for each class based on the number of entries (about 1 trophy per 5 entrants seems normal).
If you look at the results section it shows that in March there were enough hondas to have their own grid (17) which may have been because a round of S1 was due there.
For the other months based on total cadet entries there would have been 11 trophies in April (top honda driver was 22nd), in May 8 trophies (top honda was 22nd), June 5 trophies (top honda was 12th), July 8 trophies (top honda was 7th), August 6 trophies (top honda was 6th).
Overall the club has been recognising honda drivers and awarding a winner trophy to the first one home.
There are more trophies for the comer class because there are more entrants but maybe the club needs to say first comer, second comer rather than first place etc to keep people happy.
You could just as easily argue that it is unfair for a honda driver who finishes 22nd to get a nice big trophy when many comer drivers who beat him got nothing.
I could understand someone being upset if they finished in the top 3/4 and did not get any trophy because they were the only honda driver on the day but otherwise this just seems to be a case of wanting it both ways. Maybe if they had been at the presentation the club would have said "2nd overall and our top honda driver".
